Lab Technician
The Lab Technician conducts laboratory tests, analyzes samples, and ensures the accuracy and reliability of medical reports. This role involves operating advanced laboratory equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols, and supporting doctors in disease diagnosis and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample Collection & Testing:
- Collect and process blood, urine, tissue, and other biological samples.
- Perform laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, pathology, and related areas.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for doctors and medical staff.
- Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and storage of all collected samples.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers.
- Ensure proper storage and safe disposal of chemicals, reagents, and biological waste.
- Follow strict safety guidelines and infection control protocols during sample handling.
Quality Control & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, including test results and quality control logs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital, national, and international laboratory standards.
- Support internal and external audits to maintain laboratory accreditation.
Collaboration & Research Support:
- Work closely with doctors, pathologists, and medical staff to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Assist in research studies and clinical trials by preparing and analyzing samples.
